Disabiltiy help need for low cost dental care.
I have a friend that is disabled due to an auto immune disease.  Therefore she can not work and is getting some disability assistance but it does not help for dental care. She has a very bad toothache where the tooth is half gone and it needs to be pulled.
I help her call a two dental schools one near by one was a drive but she was willing to make it. The problem is the schools we called will not take her because they feel she is too high risk. The tooth is infected and they said she should see an oral surgeon. Where can she go for help with this if she has very little extra money.

Try the hospital emergence from my understand and what I read from other blogs pulling teeth if needed is about the only thing they will do.
Even if they will not pull it they would be able to give her something for the pain and infection.

She may be able to get up though a dental clinic. Unlike a school the dentist that work at a clinic are not learning how to be dentist they are dentist. You may have better luck with them.

She could buy a low cost dental discount plan. At least that way she would be able to reduce her dental cost. And a discount plan is effective within the next business day of buying it online. So she would be able to see any listed oral surgeon on their plan right away.
Since she will still need to pay for the extraction (at a low cost) she may want to ask ahead of time if their office is will to make some type of payment plan for her.

Have her take a second look at the medical assistance she gets. True normally they do not offer benefits for dental care. However many will make an exception when it comes to extractions. I think it is worth confirming this before ruling it out.
